Grown in the ancient soils of Mount Barker and shaped by the cool climate of Western Australia's Great Southern, Plantagenet Wines are crafted with purpose, patience and a deep respect for provenance. Across every range, from fresh and approachable to rare and cellar-worthy, our wines reflect the purity, elegance and balance that have defined Plantagenet since 1968.
Our estate vineyards – planted in the distinctive gravelly loams of Mount Barker – are farmed sustainably, producing exceptional fruit that needs little intervention to shine. From iconic single-vineyard releases to expressive regional blends, our wines speak of site, season and craftsmanship.
Icon Collection
Single vineyard. Exceptional vintages. Very limited.
The pinnacle of our portfolio, the Icon wines honour two figures central to the Plantagenet story: founder Tony Smith, and Tom Wisdom's ancestor Lionel Samson, who began WA’s oldest family business in 1829.
Crafted only in outstanding vintages, these wines come from the finest blocks within our oldest vineyard and are designed for long-term cellaring and celebration.
Wyjup Collection
Rare and highly sought after releases.
Handpicked from the most exceptional parcels, the Wyjup Collection represents the purest expression of Mount Barker terroir, and wines of depth, elegance and longevity.
Crafted with meticulous care and minimal intervention by winemaker Mike Garland and our vineyard team, each bottle is individually numbered, with only 120 dozen of each wine produced – making every release a rare and highly limited expression of the season.
Plantagenet Estate
Ultra-premium wines with noble roots.
Named for the royal Plantagenet houses, this range pays tribute to our local region (Plantagenet Shire) and our founder’s lineage. These wines express the synergy between heritage, history and the cool-climate vineyards of Mount Barker.
Crafted in limited quantities, each release captures complexity, balance and a true sense of identity in every bottle.
Three Lions
Premium wines with power and provenance.
The Three Lions range is inspired by the royal arms of England, adopted by King Richard the Lionheart.
Just as the lions symbolise legacy and strength, so too do these wines – reflecting the enduring quality of our vineyards and our role as pioneers of the Great Southern. They are approachable yet layered, offering exceptional value with unmistakable regional character.
Museum Collection
Aged wines, cellared with intention.
Each year we hold back a portion of our finest wines, allowing them to mature under optimal conditions in our estate cellar. The result is a rare collection of back-vintage wines that showcase the ageing potential of Mount Barker fruit and the quiet evolution of a cool-climate vintage.
Released only in limited quantities, these wines offer a glimpse into the story of Plantagenet through time.
