Plantagenet winemaker Cath Oates has won the 2014 Lallemand Bursary trip to Florence. Cath submitted the winning essay against many inspiring Master of Wine competitors and is thrilled to be going to the Institute’s 8th International Symposium, which is taking place in Italy for the first time in May.
Cath said: ““I am absolutely over the moon about receiving the Lallemand Bursary to attend the MW Symposium in Florence. It is an incredible opportunity to be immersed in the global wine community and to remind me why I started the MW journey in the first place. For an Australian working in a relatively remote region it couldn't be a better end to what has been an already fabulous 2014 vintage”.
Well done Cath, we are really proud of you!
