Rocky Horror Vineyard was originally planted in 1988 after two years of toiling. Located fifteen kilometres south of Mount Barker, the land was originally dotted with large subsurface boulders the size of a small car. The boulders were removed, many of them transported to nearby Albany and used for the construction of a breakwater in King George Sound.
